How would you guys feel about anomalies on the map where ships can't get through them and have to go around, like mountains and wastelands in CK2 and EU4? We already have Nabulae in the game that slows down ship movements but I've never even saw them affect anything.

Since military stations are effectless during mid and late-game (sometimes even in early game) anomalies like this can be tactical where you can put your fleet on choke points or have a natural border against other empires because map seems a bit bland (to me at least)

Maybe even wormholes that connect two really far systems together? (maybe not)

It would be nice if nebulae were something. Not exactly sure what, but making the map matter more than just the distribution of stars would be welcome change.
