Manufactories

Will there be manufactories as such??
There is a lot of improvement available here if this part of the game is included..stuff like research, diplomacy, stability, religion,
production..etc...
I wont lose too much sleep though if it is not:cool:

In each century there are five available techs to develop in only four areas of advance: Military, Industrial, Cultural, and Commercial. Each tech
advance takes a flat amount (currently 200 ducats, but I’m guessing this will be tweaked during play testing) and a variable amount of time to achieve (but all five of a century’s advances must be achieved before starting on the next).

The above is a quote from the interview about CK.:)

Very intersting. Now we get to discuss what we think those buildings are.:)

As always, thanks for the information.:)

Don't remember all of the CIV buildings, but I hope it does not get too crowded like Civ. Guess that could be part of the fun though.:)

As long as the game doesn't turn into a micromanagement hell like civ (especially in later stages) I'm all for city improvments.

Hmmmm,

If we are to have several buildings to construct, please introduce a "queue" system (such as in the MOO series) for those players out there [like myself :D] who forget to build that all important building in the province.

Don't know if that would be too desirable. You just got DoWed and go to hire some mercs when you look and find your building a nice shiny cathedral which took all your funds!:)

There has to be some sort of queue, preferably one that can be pre-defined and saved. If you get DOWed you still can go and alter it. Besides if you want to play as warmonger you can queue military units too.

From what has been said you don't build military units. You send the war arrow around and your vassals join the host with their troops. :)

Well, it would be rather neat if we could tell ALL provinces to build a certain building, at least the more common ones... being able to make queues won't reduce micromanagement for situations where you get a new structure to build, since you'd still have to activate the queues for every single province.

Of course, it would be good if we could also tell all provinces to begin a production queue...

Seeing as how there will be more provinces in Europe in CK than in EU it might be helpful. But I'm not gonna hold my breath for it.:)

Hurrah. It seems we really get a good implementation of feudal society in this game.

I think the king should still be able to build troops of his own in territories controlled directly by the crown (demesne?).

Those troops from counties held directly of the crown would probably all be a part of the army. And they will have their own individual composition based on the attributes of the county.:)
