Basically there is an unfortunate issue with converted Mac CK2 - EUIV save files where countries aren't being converted correctly - showing up as Z04, Z16, etc. Paradox staff said it was an encoding issue with country localization and that it could be fixed by manually changing the encoding of files to UTF-8. I'm not very tech-savvy, and despite doing some googling I'm still lost as how to do this. The files in question are located in the converted game under "common" then "countries". Can anyone help me out (and doubtless others)?
It's pretty ridiculous that I have to ask the modding community for help given that I paid money for a broken product, but....
