Do you regain manpower monthly? daily? and is there a specific cap for your manpower or can it just increase infinitely forever mimicking normal population growth and proportional to your total population/manpower

While your manpower does very slowly increase to represent people becoming old enough to join the army, I heard the main way to increase (or decrease) you manpower pool is through the various conscription laws.

There was also a bug in the WWW that prevented the small growth of manpower per day, week, or month or however it is done. Johan said it was supposed to be 20-30K per month, which I think he meant for Britain.

Here's a screen shot from about 53:30 in the most current WWW uploaded on youtube:

Hard to see, but it looks like (for UK, August 20th, 1940) the current max is 33.67 million with a gain of 1(?) per month.

33.67 million sounds like all able-bodied men and women, for UK (45 mil excluding colonies).
Yeah, the 33.67M appears to be the current possible attainable manpower with all laws enacted. The actual current manpower, with volunteer army and partial mobilization laws enacted, is 86.20K.

And yeah, the 1 monthly manpower gain value is most likely a bug like others were mentioning, sorry for any confusion.

Does the game track population growth as well? It could be problematic if not.

Example (with made up numbers)

1. UK Manpower with volunteer only: 80,000
Manpower gain per month: 10,000

2. UK Manpower with total conscription: 20,000,000
Manpower gain per month: 100,000

After 2 months, the totals will be as follows:

1. 100,000

2. 20,200,000

Let's say that the UK in scenario 1 changes its conscription laws to the same as UK 2, then (if population growth is not tracked) the totals will be:

1. 20,020,000

2. 20,200,000

As you can see, UK 1 is short 180,000 men.

If population growth is not tracked one must keep conscription laws at maximum to maximize manpower growth, while in realist population should grow in the background while mobilized men should be a percentage of the population.

does anyone know if the cap grows?

No the cap doesnt grow, unless you conquer territory, but non-core territory only gives 10% of its potential manpower. That means if you conquer an non-core state with 1000 people and you could recruit 2% of them you wont get 20 manpower but only 2 manpower. That is in place to prevent massive snowballing of armies and of course the french for example wouldnt be so keen to fight for the germans for example. That 33 million are not the maximum manpower, but the population of the UK. The Manpower pool is an percentage of the total population, which varies depending on your conscription laws. Johan's conscription law only allows him to recruit 2% of his population, while Jakob can recruit 10% at the moment if i am not mistaken.

Johan also stated that there was an bug in the built they played, where the monthly manpower gain didnt work and was stuck at 1 while it should have been somewhat around 20k-30k.

Man that's kinda disappointing that the cap doesn't grow but what are you going to do? so do British conscription laws affect their colonies like India and Africa? also are Canada and Australia considered their own states?

They dont track population growth, because the game focuses on such an short period, even tho you can keep playing of course, which doesnt really make it worth it to put it in. The manpower growth simulates people reaching conscription age however.

Canada and australia are independent, even tho they start in the allies with UK. India however is an puppet state, called British Raj, so conscription laws wont affect them and you wont get much manpower that way anyway, because non-core states only give 10% of the manpower. Same goes for africa and in the case of WWW part 4 for the rest of france, now under british controll.
