My air units are elsewhere. This stems from my thinking that until USSR is beaten I'll leave the UK mainland alone and form a defensive screen. Heavy losses in aircraft over the channel led me to think I can do without tying up my forces for an offensive that will not/cannot take place until 1942 at the earliest.
So the bulk of my INT cover German industrial provinces, some NAV fly out into the Atlantic and North Sea for shipping attacks. But the rest are organizing on the USSR front and I want these to be 100% fit for Barbarossa.
Therefore, those aircraft that are spare (some 3 NAV, 2 TAC, 2 INT and 2 CAS are supporting my offensive in Africa and the Mediterranean.
In retrospect it may have proven more profitable to have bitten the bullet and bombed the UK for all its worth earlier on but the date is now Feb 1941 and its too late for "what might have been...."
