But Ayleid stuff is for Ayleids.

The only Altmer using Ayleid stuff was Camoran in his paradise.
And besides...Ayleid stuff is also fantasy.

Why not just use the ESO buildings?
They're not generic fantasy even if not built out of glass.

Yeah, the ESO stuff is fine, even if it is not as interesting as it was meant to be.

It was just a suggestion, seeing as it sounds like Truewhit didn't like the idea of using ESO designs. The Ayleid were originally a splintergroup off of the Aldmer of Summerset, so it wouldn't be farfetched for their architecture to have similarities with the Altmer's. Then again the chimer/dunmer were also a splinter group, and as far as I can tell there are basically no commonalities between Ayleid and Chimer architecture, so what do I know. Well... I guess they both have roofs...

I do think the ESO designs are kind of generic, by the way. They just kind of scream "Tolkien-elves" to me.

Wouldn't Ayleid architecture be like the ruins in Oblivion?

More like the White-Gold tower, which used to be an Ayleid temple and thus a good example of their architecture. IIRC, the Ayleid ruins were (or looked) mostly like catacombs or elaborate tombs, what with coffins everywhere and such.
At least one was an underground city, IIRC, although I forget which one. I think it was where you find the Great Welkynd Stone maybe? Miscarcand?
