Manchukuo Achievement Guidance

So playing as Manchukuo and going for all three achievements now. And I'm at the point where I potentially need to make big decisions on build up.

For the The Dragon Swallowed the Sun achievement it just says you need to annex Japan. So wording wise does that mean that I specifically need to get boots on the ground and force them to capitulate and fully annex them in a peace deal? Asking because I havn't taken Dominate Japan focus yet but I assume what that does, if they accept, is become a puppet. If that's the case and I integrate them does that count towards the achievement?

I want to double check because I don't want to take it, have them actually accept then not get the achievement.

The other one i had a couple of questions on Hail to the Qing. I'm a bit confused on the requirements for the Claim the Mandate of Heaven focus. Does it say that I have to control all of the mentioned states? And does it mean I can just occupy them or do I have to actually own them via peace conference?

I want to know if I can just blitz and be done with the focus or if I'm going to have to prep for effectively a world conquest against the allies.

You have to land in Japan and capitualte them. In my game USA took the pacific Island, but I got the Rest of Japan, and this was enough.

Nuking them didn't work.

Für Hail Qing it seems to be enough to take Taiwan. You only need one of the listed provinces.
