I managed to grant statehood to Nambia as Germany, an insane ammoutn of immigrants settled and made up 51%. So I granted statehood! How do I exploit this to the max? Build factories, manage POP?

Build factories! That's the biggest advantage of turning a colony into a state.

In Namibia... there arn't enough people to build factories for that!
One can get plenty of immigrants there, though (due to that precious metal RGO).

I've managed to do that in all of my German games, and not just in Namibia. For some reason Germans seem to be the only ones who will actually go live in their colonial empire. In my most recent German game, I managed to get Germans (both North and South) to outnumber the natives by over 9:1 in Namibia and had achieved a population of several million there by the end of the game. I also had large German populations in Tanzania and in German Libya in the same game , with one random state in inner Africa receiving statehood along with Namibia. There were also small German populations in Madagascar and elsewhere.

Crazy because I never got Frenchmen or Brits to move in my games with those countries.

It's because French and British pops are short range while German pops are long.
Nah, those are long range (virtually all European cultures are), but they tend to be harder to get (I'm always swimming on Frenchmen!)

It basically depends on the POP's situation on the homeland. If they have a militancy of 5 or more (below that in few exceptions and only with non-state cultures), they're already subject to emigrate out of their countries. Unemployment, not getting enough consumer goods, not belonging to state religion/culture and all that jazz influence one's decision to emigrate.

German POPs (particularly South German ones) will usually have more militancy than other European cultures earlier in the game because of the constant wars et all.

...Although what the OP has experienced is in fact migration, not immigration. Which means his POPs are probably unemployed, without cash reserves and getting few daily goods.

All major powers are long range cultures. With France couple times I managed to statehood Libya and couple regions below that, but only because native population was small, so it was easy to 'outpopulate' natves. ;) But I must agree. Germans actually moving to colonies in large numbers. Brits and French enjoying life in home countries.

However my most funny migration as UK involved region between Brazil and Venezuela (Ricky:VIP version) - 4 uncolonized regions. I bought 3 claims from Brazil and later build 1 mission. Claimed colony. In like 15 years, maybe 20 that part of the world was flooded with folks from UK, Ireland, Ukraine, Finland, Lithuania, Estonia. They probably formed some joint-venture company aimed at exploitation of Amazonian region.

congrats! but has it been a good idea? those shiny precious metal province has most probably stopped attracting immigrants once it had been granted statehood. also i would advise to keep your pops in the RGO and staff the factories from pops of the nearby fish province.

I'd say factories would be good. If you are full citizenship you can get the natives to work in the facts to, I think, It has been awhile since my last ricky game.
Granted getting colonies into states was never my strat in ricky.
