I'm about to upgrade from an AMD FX-8370 to a Ryzen 7 2700X.
i'm actually really looking forward to playing stellaris with the new set up, but im also curious to see how much of a difference this upgrade will make.
Single core performance of the Ryzen is a roughly 60% improvement on the FX.
My request to you, dear forumgoers, who may have experience in how an upgraded affected their stellaris performance, is how much of an improvement can i expect? how much of stellaris' performance problems is hardware choke and how much is the game itself?
I used to be able to play on huge at games release, and not experience much slowdown until the 2350s
now obviously the slowdown is sooner even on a small galaxy.
think i'll be able to go back to heug?
