Just because something is not important to you does not mean that it is not important to someone else.
I personally have never cared about any kind of professional sport. However - I have seen grown men cry when their favourite team did not win a match. Obviously it is something that is important and significant to them. Just because it's not important to me doesn't mean it would be okay for me to be disparaging and condescending about it.
What you are saying here is essentially: 'this doesn't matter to me so it shouldn't matter to you either - you are in the wrong for caring about the thing you care about'. Perhaps you should take your own advice first and 'get over yourself'?
You aren't the only one in this thread who has made a comment along these. The same applies to the rest of you too - just because someone thinks differently to you doesn't mean their opinion is inferior. Try being a bit more respectful to others.
