His fist to make us strong,
his spirit to heal us,
his crown to guide us.
his spirit to heal us,
his crown to guide us.
These lines, spoken by all Malwegoll across Durgassa an ocean world, is the center of the institutions of Malwegoll Empire. Stories passed down from generation to generation, and the dedication of numerous archeologists serving the Emperor, have told the tale of a long lost civilization, sending off a portion of their own in hopes of the continuation of their race, although almost doomed to fail the now Emperor whom spoke of the god Durgassa, of which the planet is named, led the fledgling colony to prosperity. Having explored every crack and crevice of the world, the Emperor who has reigned for a thousand years speaks the word of Durgassa, a wise and enlightened god, the emperors word is law.
This is the lie which is told daily to citizens of the empire. In reality the empire is only two hundred years old, and the enlightenment of the emperor is a careful facade put together by a hereditary hegemon and a group of carefully selected scholars, to go through the records of history to make their history, the history, while the emperors apparent wiseness and intelligence is simply due to the careful selection of advisors.
The members of this species are solitary, helping to slow the reaching of confidential state information. They are also intelligent, resilient, conservationist, and deviant, of which are an obstacle to the states control on information, but allow for the cabal of scholars to be filled.
The empire follows an imperial cult surrounding a philosopher king, of which are made to believe exist. The empire praises fanatic spiritualism and authoritarianism.
