Hi all

I was just wondering... in the scenario Age of Exploration, Malacca exists as an Asian nation. It even has a great coat of arms and a nice light purple territorial color. :D

ehhh... the problem is, at the game startup screen for that scenario, I don't see any way to select Malacca as a playable nation.

I was led to believe that just about any nation that "exists" in the game would be a playable nation in at least one scenario. True or false?

just curious

You need to add Malacc to the list of playable nations. Open the .eug-file for the scenario in a text-editor and add MLC under the list of selectable.

Will this be in a patch? (Easy thing to fix myself, but for all the starving people in Europe who will hopefully get a patched version....)

If the fix is as simple as Havard says it is.... then I don't see why it should be hard for Paradox to patch in the near future.

P.S. -- there are some gamers who dislike the idea of manually hacking into their game files. That's why an official Paradox patch would be a good thing for all. :)

Yeah, that's why I asked. I don't mind tweaking with the files, I've done it plently of times in EU1, but others might not be as willing. Good to hear from a beta tester it is on the list though, keep up the good work! :)

The Malayo-Indonesian nations, as well as Orissa and the Chagatai Khanate, were the last to be added to the game, not long before the game went gold. That's probably why they don't appear in the "selectable nations" list. Presumably it will be fixed soon...
