Peace treaty system makes the game unplayable with many issues in many scenerios. But these are some of my ideas which seems me to be more simpler and implementable.

- I had joined the war of my minor ally, I was at a point where I was slowly turning the tides of war but because of my incapable ai allies giving my lands to enemies in treaty, my fight and advancement over my rivals do not matter anymore since I've lost my core territories which are strategically important and rich sides. If only there could be an actual confirmation system if I would accept the peace or not, and regarding my reply to the offer my allies could leave me alone if they had to or just keep the war with the hope for me to win.

- Or in big wars, where you join the war as a secondary partner, you have the problem of either signing the treaty yourself which reduces the trust with your allies, or be really effective in war but take even less than some feeding allies. If only there was a system which projects like the Westphalian Peace Delegation where you make your own claims and try to come to terms with both your allies and enemies , but in current system it does not let you even change the interest zones. (for wars that includes more than 2 great powers)

- Why can't I take over the war leadership if I am the most powerful state among us which actually makes the gains, in cases where I am the powerhouse of the alliance (and they are like my unofficial protectorates), when I sign treaty with the conditions I want as a seperate one, I see that my allies are beaten back and loose so much land which actually makes my rivals more powerful. So I don't want to make seperate treaty but otherwise I can't make gains as expected to.

Maybe the second idea is not really implementable beacuse of the issues with old game engine or the other focuses of devs, but 1. and 3. are pretty much implementable in my opinion. These may not seem to add too important things for some but they would definitely change the game in a good way. What are your opinions? Do you have any vanilla advices to overcome these?

Given that AI allies can now give their "thumbs down" against any particular peace term they don't like, it's makes no sense that player cannot do the same.

For the record this is how wars in Victoria 2 work: most powerful nation takes over war leadership when joining in. However, I think in EU4 it would be better to rely on war participation percentage then on abstract global rating. You may be a great power and still make little impact in war of your ally, however if you did most of work, you should also be in charge when signing peace.

Wasn't that also the case in EUIII, where basically every war turned into a world war, because allies' allies were called in all the time.
