I seem to recall there being a simple place I can go to make it so that my guy's martial score has a larger impact on the result of a battle, but I don't recall where/what it was.

Can someone help?

In the NMilitary section, find LEADER_MARTIAL_DAMAGE_BONUS = 0.05 and change it to whatever you like.

You may also want to check out TERRAIN_SPEC_BONUS and COMMAND_MODIFIER_MARTIAL_MULTIPLIER. I'm not sure what that last one does.

In my limited experience, generals seem to matter quite a bit as it is.

They did in the past for me, but right now, having a rather poor general has done nothing to discourage me, so I wanted to up it.

Rigth now generals even more matter then befor. You just need to undestand how. High martial define how good choice of tacktic general will have. Correct tactic can give 200-300% bonuses to some trops, or penalties to other. Bad general = your best trops lickly to have penalties in battle.IN many cases correct tacktics define win or lost. In addition moral, speed, terran, defnce traits have big influence on battle.
Right now generals have Mach bigger effects then befor.

Good choice of generals can let you win battle with half of army.

I would like it if they could reinstitute the already dispatched generals thing, because I don't really like to assign each of my armies with generals (and they could be from the other side of the country... Maybe making some delay before a general move could be good, like when you send a message).
