I don't think you can change a country between colonial and non-colonial, but perhaps the DP sliders could be used to give them the right amount of colonists (though I think that could result in ahistorical Scotsmen).

I'm wanting to do this in the first place as a result of an Act of Union with Scotland dominant. Extremely unlikely, of course and effectively difficult, since it requires that Scotland annex England, but I figured if one way, might as well play around with the other.

Thus, the fused nation would have strong English elements. In the real world, Scottish contribution to British seafaring, philosophy, business, industry, and colonization was enormous. It all just happened after 1701, so most of the propagandas--oops, I mean "histories"--refer to "British" accomplishments whenever the person behind it was a Scotsman.

nope, british is right. some one in scotland is british, same as someone in england.

i think the problem lies in the fact that england always seem to be the dominate nation in britain, when really its just the same country.

Any one from the British Isle is British, the only thing is that British is synonyms with English. One of the ironies of language.
