1. AWAKENING THE GIANT
1941 June 22

As the invevitable came and Germans ataked Soviet Union all world knew this will be the final mach. Either Fashistic powers take over the world either they will be beaten. In 1941 June 22th morning German tanks infantery and all lufwafe air power turen on the unpreapered red army wich was still recovering after "victory" against Finland. At first Germans had the advantage and red army started to pull back in panic, but Russia was too big to be beaten in few months and 3,5 mln. soldier red army was to large to be beaten in first few battels.

On the other side of the front was weakened but still not beaten United kindom. Wich was the only democratic country left in the Europe still to fight the Naciz. From ocupation of France in early 1940 UK fought alone agains Germany since now. Because it natural berier UK could easyely block the invasion from sea with its most powerful navy in the world. In late 1940 Britain fought "Battle of Britain" it have suffered masive German air raid but still won.

UK has 8 corps with 41 division in it with - 5 HQ - 23 inf. - 10 mot. - 3 arm. divsions.
Also a Canadian Royal Army lead by Vaner - 3 inf. 1 arm.

UK has 6 corps with 12 division in it with - 1 HQ - 5 inf. - 2 mot. - 2 arm. - 1 cav. - 1 gar. divsions.
Also a Australyand have 2 mot. division. N. Zeland - 1 inf. and S. Africa - 2 inf. divisions.

UK has 7 corps with 7 division in it with - 6 inf. - 1 gar. divsions.

There are also few garisons in strategical important places. like Gibraltar. Malta. Singapore and Hong kong. All 9 Mil. are in Ethiopia were they beated not long time ago Italyen forces there, wich was left cut of just when the war started. Also there are 2 inf in Mogadishu wich will be transported info N. africa as soon as transport ships will arive.

UK are getting some aid from USA, but because US doenst want to join the war agains Germany it makes it worthless.

Japan is about to end up with Chinese and now looking for other good oportunitys. They have captured Indochina from French and now threatining UK colony in India.

2. OPERATION DESERT FOX
1941 June

War against axis since the ocupation of France and Greece was taking its form only in North africa were English were fighting againt Italyens. Now german support came and Italyens are planing for a massive ofencive. This means that we should concentrate our forces in N. Africa for defence and lated our own atak. For that we have comanded 3 inf. and 1 cav. division situated in Egipt to march for Sollum were our mobile "Desert rats" are fighting against Italyens.

General Montgomery​

Mid. east command was recalled N. Africa Command and General Montgomery was asinged for this corp wich started to move thoward Tel aviva were transport ships will be waiting for them to be transported to Sollum were 3 inf div. from egipt will join them. After that East african command will join them from Ethiopia with 2 inf.
This will make this corp out of 1 HQ and 7 inf + 2 mot, 2 arm. 1 cav. divisions.

Stage 1.

Another decition was made to transport Alrershort comand from Home island (1HQ + 1 mot + 3 inf.) to N. Africa. 2 Fleat was formed in Scapa flow.

1. Atlantic fleet 30 ships (1 Carrier + 2 Batlleships + 27 smaller ships) will move into Atlantic to hunt for German Subs
2. Home fleet fleet 30 ships (3 IV Carrier + 5 Batlleships + 22 smaller ships) will patros english chanal and will escort transport ships to solth France shores. From there they will be safe.

Gibraltar fleet 9 ships (2 Carrier + 1 Batlleships + 6 smaller ships) and
Mediterranien fleet 8 ships (1 Carrier + 3 Batlleships + 4 smaller ships) will join together and form strong Mediterranien fleet. Meating point Malta. There could be some Fighting with Italy fleet on the way.

3 TP ships squads started our forces in India concentracion. wich will end in half of Infian forces at boarder with Siam and half at N. Africa. 14 Ships at Indian ocean will be rebased at Singapor to form a strong Infochina fleet.

These force concentration pans were set up in order to meke ouf army fighting efficien biger. Out tactic was to stike concentrated at one spot and take advance one provice by one.

Our minestry decided to make A pupet state of Egyp since Egyptyan revolt is the last thing we need right now. Help from US came. Also we have organized a strike at Mers-el-Kebir

3. THE BREAKTROUGH IN N. AFRICA
1941 July

The first thing was to rebuilt connection with surrounded Toburk garison. As Italyen atak showed this should be done as qucly as possible

Also there was some naval battles. A big one took place in the North sea were our Atlantic fleet meat big German fleet. No ships were sunk but German ships were hit badly and out 6 transport squdas with Northen comman could easyly continue their way to N. Africa.

When we were transporting our troops to fron line our naval inteligence reported that the defence of Crete is tarnsported to N. Africa thats why our Medeteranien Fleet (wich now joined with Gibraltar fleet) move thoward Crete. 1 st. Cavalary division was asinged to take Crete island. After some naval batlles when Italyend realised the purpose of English naval actions near Crete we made landing at 3rd of July capturing Crete the same day since only few Italyend patrols were left in island wich were already taken down by Greek partisans when English arived. Island was taken without any fight.

Fianly at the morning or 7th of July last troops were transported to the fron befor the offensive began. Generals Montgomerys N. African Command now takes 1 HW and 5 inf divisions. Desert rats movew soulthern to frank the Italy troops. Also 1 N. Zeland and 2 S. Africa inf will pariticapate in the atak.

The atak started at 5 am in the morning with the sunrise. And took only 4 hours. With hard air support (4 tac. bomber squadrons) our tanks roled in. If this works out some italyen troops will be surrounded at Bardis. And when Nothen command will arive from england further offensive will take place.

All naval battles were won. Our fleets have sunk 1 german sub flotile. and 1 transport flotile also French have sunk 1 transport during the naval figh near Toburk coast. Out 2 naval bomber squadrons were doing a gread job and damaged Italyen ships for good

Our tanks and mot divisions "Desert rast" arived at Forte capuzo at 7 pm 9th of June and when Italyens understood what happened and throwen a conteratan N. African comand rolend in to Bardis with all the might and with soulther help from Desert rats. The surounded Italyens give up soon. But it was only a matter of question will Desert rast hold, because they were flanked prity much them selves.

Just when thigs started to look bad for the offensive reinforcment have arived at Toburk from England at night.

The figting was continuing at morning. Bombers have started to bomb defenders of Bardis were 3 Italyen divisions were traped. Desert rats were ataked hard from all flanks by 5 Italyen divisions, but still was holding the line. N. Zeland infantry division were send to support them but it was a matter of question will they make it in time. The nothern Command will join the ofenciva as soon as they will unload from the ships.

Italyen conteratak failed as Mot divisions and tanks managed to hold the line the atak ended at 10 am. 3 Italyen inf. divisions resisted for 9 more hours and after hard bombardmend from air and from sea By Medeteranien fleet. At 19:00. Italy lost 2 full Inf. divisions and 1 tank brigade in this operation. English lost only few men.

They havent declered war on me yeat. But i know they will. Im hoping to deal with italyens at n africa by that time and throw my troops to indochina to puch Japanese from there otherwise they will push me back to the moutains and it will be prity hard to push them back from there (thats what happened to me at the game before. I got stuck in the moutains and had to make amfibious landings in indochina in order to beat the Japs there.)

4. ADVANCE IN N. AFRICA
1941 July

At 11th of July we got a suggestion from soviets to invade Persia. This suggestion was denyed because were are not the agresors were are the Liberators and another thing there was no troops at the boarder with persia and non we could spear from the N. Africa fron because the time was ticking and we had to hury up before Japs or Vicy france will join the war agains us. Our relations with soviets went bad (-50). The russiand didnt deared to atak Persia alone because they had enough trubles with Germans and wider front would just finishend them up.

The next day Northen Command was ready to take actiona and ataked weak Italyen possitions at Mechili were our tactical bomber bombed 2 Italyen inf. Afther that air raid all that was left for General Gort mens it to advance fovard.

At 12th of July morning our mobile army Desert rats along with 2 S. Africa expeditionary inf divisions ataked 3 Weak Italy divisions at Fort Madalena.

Supported by Tactical Bomber again the victory was quck. Italyen troops reatreted in panic.

At morning of July 14th Deser Rast have reached Fort Madalena. Our allys will join them in 17th of July. At the same day N. African Command took control of Baradi province and were ordered to move foward to Toburk and join the front there of further ofencive. They will reach it the next day. General Gort Nothen Command arived at Mechili at July 14th 19:00. And was meat only by one disorganised Italyen division wich gave up and reatreated to Baracu after few shots (2 hours)

N. African Command lead By Montgomery reached front line in Toburk 20:00 in the morning but they couldns wait for the morning and ataked the Italyend at night. Wih the support from the navy and from General Gort from the soulth the atak was fast and the fighting took only 2 hours.

The advance was amazing. Even the generals were wery suspiciout because of so easy victorys. But at the home island this was taken as a breaking point tha N. African compain and as a victory sing. All english news paper headlines were filled with optimism.

At 17th of June 3 inf. divisions have arived at tobut from India. Also our allys have finaly reached Fort Madalena. For now all troops have dug in and waited for N. Africa corp to rach Derna at June 20th 1 am at night. Since that time our troops can reast and reorganize. On 19th of June 3 Italyen inf. divisions were spoted behind our fron line, since our fast advancing forces managed to vercome them. A full scale atak was launchen to destroy them since they were already were surrounded.

The batlle was short and took only 3 hours. At 9 am. 3 totaly unorganised Italyen divisions surrendered to the British and their allys. Italy once again lost 2 inf. divisions and 1 mot. divisions. Thats makes 6 totaly distroyed Italyen disivison in less then a months.

At 22th of June all troops arived at their location. N. African Command were reinforced with 3 inf. divisions an now consistend out of 1 HQ and 8 inf divisions. The other corps were the same. By the advance time more recruts joined thouse armys and they were almost full divisions.

5. LANDING IN GREECE
1941 July

The second wave of the atak started on July 23rd morning. Gemerals Montgomer N. African Command ataked 3 Italyen divisions (2 inf 1 tank) on Barca. Their target was to capture the airbase at the province. This will make our bombing missions more efective because of shorted distance.

Another atak was launched on Msus, were General Gort and S. African expeditionary army ingaged 6 Italyen divisions. (3 inf. 1 mot and 2 HQ! Its seemd we have found the Italyen HQ!) Tactical bombers were send to support this atak, because this was the biges concentration of Italyen troops.

Desert rast were sent soulther to the desert at Al Jaghbub to overcome and try to surrounf the reatreating Italyens, no resistence were meat there and they advancet foward, they will reach it in 28th of July.

Also there was a massive atak on our Medetiranyen fleet. The reatryting French fleet was chased by 16 Italyen capital ships and 7 small ships. Our well organised fleet showed what they were made of. 2 Nav. Bomber squads were send to support the naval batlle.

Victory at Barca and in the sea was reached easyly but the Msus holded for 24 h. and fighing was close and almost lost. If not support from the air this atak woul be faild. But the main Italyen army was also pushed back.

Eastern African Command wich was transpoted from Ethipia got it a midlle of a naval figh near to the shores of Toburk, but was bloced by Italyen fleet. They didnt wanted to take any risk to be sunked and reatreat to the north. At that time our inteligence reported a big Greece uprising at the province of Larisa. All Italyen forces were sent to crush the Greek rebelians. And our 3 tansport squads have founded them selves near the shores of Greece. A quck desition was made. To Land in and island of Kefalonia were only Italyen police was patroling as all defence were send to Larisa. Our troops would will reach the shores of the island at 26th of June 10 am in the morning. And it was succesful. All Italyen police and administration either ran away either surremdered to English forces. The Italyens have lost the batlle to the rebeliand as they managed to reach the moutains and dug in there. The way to the mainland of greece was free and another radical decition was made. To move in to Arginio and try to reach the surrounded greeks and beat the Italyen troops to the sould. Cavalary division from the Creat was ordered to take Rhodes and Dodecanes islands near the costs of Turkey were no Italyen army activity were located. This could only mean that the defending forces were also rrdeployed to take down the rebeling Greeks.

July 27th 10 am in the morning. Precicely 1 day arfer the landing in Kefalonia our troops have reached the shored of greece main land. No Italyen resistence were found. all police and locan authorirys surrendered to the enlish as they proceded. Also a amfibious landing at Rhodes island started. After that 1st cav. division will move foward to Dodecanes island. This spontanous landings were wery ricky but if we succed the greeks could be freed. Toburk garrison was transported to Kefalonia to stronger our possition there. The Medetiranien fllet was patroling the Greece shores and all atemts to transport some reinforcment of cut of our supply links were beated beck.

N. African command lead by Montgomery finaly have reached Barca at 14:00 27th of June. and dug in the same minute waiting for other part of the army to reach Msus were heavily counterofencive were expected when all Reatreating Italyen forces will regrupe at Bengazi. Our tactical bombers were ordered to rebase to captured Barca airfeald wich were secured by Montgomerys men. Now the bombing missions will be much efective as the flight it self will take less then an hour. A first air raid from this province was to Greece were our advancing army have meat 1 Italyen division but was blocked by them prity hard and stucked in the beaches. But with the help of tactical bombers the victory was takend and they advenced further into the land.

N. African Command was ordered to atak Bangazi at 12 o clock at midday of 28th of July, just few hours before Northen commans lead by Gort will reach Msus, because their army was totaly exhausted (14 org. and almos all from HQ) and a well planed counteratak woul surly finishend them off and they would be forced to reatret to Mechili, this would mean end for the ofencive. Genereal Montgomery knew that there were at least 9 inf division and 1 tank brigade at Bangazi and the atak would not succed but this would surly prevend Nothen comman from counteratak and with a litlle help of air power the Italyen possitions would be weakened realy bad. The forces at Bangazi were these: 6 inf. 1 mot. 1 arm. 1 parratruper(probably transported from Italy as our offencive began) and 1 moutain division.

Our planes have joined the atak at 17 o clock. General Gort was late. And as latter we foud out this was because his men was totaly exhausted because of the desers heat and had to stop to reast for a while. They would arice at the next day at 14:00. This meant that the figting had to be still going on at that time. The night bombing mission wasnt so succesful but did managed to tataly disorganise one divisions wich reatreated. Bu at midnight the situation didnt looked so well as our ataking troop organisation started to shift. And they had to call of the atak.

When our army rached Msus it was welcomed by 4 Italyen divisions counteratak. Wich they beated succesfuly with the help of night air raid and night it self.

Our cavalary desant was succes and the Rhodes island. After few hors they were on their way to Dodecanes island wich they will reach at August 2nd 16:00/ Our mobile army "Desert Rats" were making there way to Aujila wich they will reach at also at 2nd of August but only at 20:00. A Landing at Agrinio was also timed at 2nd of August 3:00. Two army commands were reasting at newly reached possitions. This time the victory wast so ealy and it was only the Air support that helped to make this advance. So this was the situation at the end of June as Summer started to count its last month.

Some info about naval batlles. The frensh navy have suffered big defet by Italyen navy in the edetiranyen sea were 5 ships were sunked. But our unbeatable Medeteranyen fleet sunked 5 Italyen ships 1 TP with trpoops in it.

6. OVERAL SITUATION IN THE WORLD
1941 August

Things were not looking so good for the russians at the end of 1941 summer. The red army was losing one batlle from another to german army. Althou they managed to win some victorys from the fins and even capture Helsinky, mostly because a atak plan was well organised after the peace and the soviets had palns to atak the finns them self and gathereg well preapered army with the boarders of finland but when German reinforcments will arive from Norway the fins will definatly take back their capital. On the Soviet-German fron there was some major breakthroug in the north (Germans managed to capture RIga at July) and in the soulth were they have reached the outskirts of Kiev. But in the center they managed to push only few hundres km. Soviet army has reduced from 329 division to 304 they have lost 14 inf. divisions 2 mot. 5 arm. 2 tank 1 par. and 1 HQ in total 25 divisions. Germans on the other sida has grown in numbers mostly because of their allies giving their armys to german comand. German army has grown from 225 divisions to 262 divisions gaining 31 inf. visionsin 3 cav. divisions (Rummunian cavalary) 1 mout. and 2 HQ. ALso German army has lost 1 panzer division. Making total growth of 37 div. Soviets lost the advantage of their army size.

Also it wasnt looking so good for Chineese either. There were a big pocket at the soulth. Brilient Jap. comanders managed to flank a big part of China army and now they are closing the pocket (4 provinces). Front in the moutains to the north and to the soulth was stable. The real figting continued in the center.

So two out of three axis powers were wining and the only loging one was Italy wich was heavyly beated by the English. 6 Italyen divisions were either totaly destroyed either captured and another 12 were stuck in Bengazi wich was almost surrounded thanks to our fas moving mobile corp "Desert Rats" wich managed to swift throuhg the desers unspoted and show up at the back of Italyen army.

I do like the name 'Greek Freedom Command'. I'm not entirely sure why, but it just sounds like the kind of name that would impress the ladies.

Of course it would mainly impress Greek ladies, but that's better than nothing.
