They said I:R will have only one start date and I'm fine with it, but I hope that modera can, eventually, add start dates.
I just wonder how the UI will look. With this being the first PDS game of its type to ship with only one start date, I'm not sure we can expect to see an EU- or CK-style start date selection screen.

True that, I guess that playing an alternative startdate won't be like clicking on one from an integrated drop down menu unless the mod builds that in (if possible) I feel the chances are higher you will have to download a dedicated mod for a dedicated time.
so I guess Paradox will enable us to go the other way around in Imperator: Rome

They are doing some things that i don't really think are appropriate for a paradox game, so they might hardcore only one start date- and mod have to change this single oneOf course it will be moddable. This is a Paradox game after all.![]()

Right! For a second I forgot that the House Divided start date was added later.Victoria II shipped with only one start date, and it had a EU-style start date selection screen (as far as bookmarks go).
Such as devolving simplifying things too much but that's just my personal opinionSuch as...?
And no. They have been extremely mod friendly since EU2. Heck, even EU1 had a couple great mods.
