So i've been playing again since bronze and like where the game is going but it is lacking endgame content. My idea / wish would be to make out specialists into real heroes with a level system and a real inventory including special and unique gear. While the former should start right away the hunt for gear (only a very limited number / variety could be produced everything else found / traded) could be a real motivation boost for the endgame. Levelcaps could be hidden behind technologies to prevent early game overleveling and such.

What do you guys from the community think? And what do you as developers think of this idea?

Thanks for the suggestion! We have been discussing something similar (can't go into details unfortunately) as we do want to make the Specialists matter more as well in the game. So a lot of different plans and ideas are being tossed around!

I really like this idea but you say about end game, once you have searched everywhere what will the need for specialists be apart from outposts which you wouldnt need level or amour for?

I like this idea i am just wondering how it would work for an end game?
 
Ahh I really would like to explain better but sadly I cannot - you will simply have to speculate and wait and see! :)
