Make nation facist... Boost popularity?

quick question. I'm finishing up a game with Japan and all the world wars are over. I made my own faction so it's just the axis and myself left.

Almost every nation is facist except a couple. I'm declaring war on the few democracies and boosting fascism in unaligned. It's working on most unaligned except Saudi Arabia.... they get to 52% facism for example and then I check back and they're back down to 20%....

Do I keep doing this and there's a chance it'll work? I haven't declared war on them because I'm worried they'll join the axis....will they since there's no world wars?

You could try to coup them and send volunteers to help the fascist side.

I'm fine with invading them but will they join the axis if I do? I don't want a huge world war if possible.

I've tried the coup a couple times but they always start with 0-1 divisions and I'm only allowed to send 1....

I see what you mean.

I don't know. Axis should like you cause you're fascist so I don't see SA getting the invitation.

*Update* I got it.

SA eventually converted to fascism on their own (just took a couple tries of getting them over 50%) and i was able to finish off the one state nations with a coup.
