I know I said it before, but you should make the motorization of infantry possible. Perhaps with brigade (I don´t like the idea myself, but it would be easy to implement).

there's hardly an point to that, not to mention only a fraction of the experience would transfer as they'd have to be retrained to be able to effectively use half-tracks in combat (for example). it isn't a simple "here's some half-tracks and trucks, you're mechanized now," that is represented by the requirement of the oil requirement of all infantry units '45 and later. the tactics of motorized and mechanized units were sufficiently different from those of plain foot infantry for the distinction between those unit types to have been made in the first place.Maybe by producing a division of the desired type, and then they swap experience, as they swap perosnal?
One way it would be more realistic yes, BUT, how do you handle the need for retraining with the new equipment?hellfish6 said:I'd like it if all divisions (except tanks) were standard infantry that could be converted to other types via brigades or something similar. Add a truck brigade to make it a motorized division, a tank or halftrack brigade to make it a mech division, etc.
Just make a few models for one type of brigade that you remove the original use of, then limit what divisions can get it so its impossible to attach it to motorised inf div for example, add "speed +4" or thereabouts, and additional oil and supply use...I know I said it before, but you should make the motorization of infantry possible. Perhaps with brigade (I don´t like the idea myself, but it would be easy to implement).

I don't know what the others think, but I personally prefer more those "normal" motorised infantry divisions...

oh, I'm sure there's some way to do it if the consumer interest is great enough, I was arguing against them retaining all of their experiencebut the trainig could be included in the price of the brigade and the price should not be high. The units are able to do that thinks that need a lot of training e.g. handling the weapon. They only need to train the tacticts.

Myth said:seriously, why would you want motorized marines? if anything, such a brigade would decrease the division's usefulness at the task it was explicitly made for

precisely what I was trying to implyMarines should get a penalty for landing while motorized...
