Make Micheal the 'Drunkard' playable

Now that there is 936 with Constantine VII becoming Emperor 9/10, I think it's time for Paradox to make Micheal iii alive in the 867 start date as he was irl, because it seems like an overkill that pre 1066 start date have 2 Makedon rulers.

The idea is simply to make Micheal iii Emperor while Basil Makedon would have the theme of Adrianapolis and a strong claim to the Byzantine Empire, and starting with a plot on killing Micheal iii because in the game Basil become emperor 9 months too early, so anyone who would have a problem not seeing Basil as Emperor and want to see Basil be Emperor should and would just become him.

Please guys get and spread the word out to Paradox about this in the CK2 suggestion thread, so we can finally make 867 Byzantine a little more accurate aswell as the opportunity to play as the last Amorian Emperor.

I'm not the developer, I just want to see a change in 867 since 936 have another potential Makedon Emperor.
It's repetitive that both start date in 867 and 936 have Makedons while the real emperor, Micheal iii in 867 was supposed to be in power, but not because paradox thought more players would like to play Makedons.

Honestly I would rather they just make two start dates for 867. January 1st start date could have Michael as emperor and the Great Heathen Army thing going on in the British Isles. Then they could do a start date later that year with Basil as emperor and King Aella's kingdom taken over by the Great Heathen Army. Also they could add Michael's 5 sisters and mother.

Basically it would need to be like this...

867 start date 1:
-Sons' of Ragnar Great Heathen Army conquests in British Isles against King Aella.
-Event chain of Basil trying to killing Michael and take the throne for himself. If you play as Michael your goal would be to kill Basil.
-Eudokia wife of Basil added as lover of Michael. Thekla sister of Michael as the lover of Basil.
-Eudokia starts out pregnant with Stephen.
-Event so Stephen is born in September trying to find out who the father is if it is Michael's bastard or Basil's kid with Eudokia.(Could also do something with Leo who may or may not be Michael's bastard with Eudokia as well. Leo himself seems to personally believed he was Michael's son.)
-Event where Michael decides whether or not to send Thekla to a nunnery.
-If Basil ends up taking the throne and killing Michael he would obtain his bloodline and Michael would be named "the drunkard" after death. He would also get an event from the former Patriarch begging for his position back.
-If Michael wins perhaps he could reveal Leo and Stephen are his sons? Maybe give him a bloodline?
-If Aella wins against the sons of Ragnar perhaps he could be given a special bloodline? Like a viking slaying bloodline since he killed Ragnar and then defeated his sons.
-No starting Hungarian invasion of Pannonia/Bulgaria. Hungarian invasion event chain that kicks off as soon as Arpad's father dies and Arpad takes over.

867 start date 2:
-King Aella is dead in the British isles and his kingdom now ruled by vikings.
-Basil is ruling and has his bloodline.
-Stephen is already born.
-Basil has replaced the Patriarch of Constantinople.
-No starting Hungarian invasion of Pannonia/Bulgaria. Hungarian invasion event chain that kicks off as soon as Arpad's father dies and Arpad takes over.

As much as I love the idea, I think adding a new start date of the same year would be too much, though I think the feature you suggested for the first 867 start date should implemented.
Just a fixed and updated 867 where Micheal is emperor would suffice.

I mean I am talking pre 1066, like 769, 867 and 936 which all have only 1 starting date.
I mean sure, they could make a new start date but it's very unlikely for them to do while merely changing a few characters would be more simpler.

Adding another bookmark for 867 wouldn't be that much harder, since most characters - notable exceptions being being Michael and Aella - would remain the same and with the same lands, all they'd would be to add the description and the title to the bookmark.

Yeah, but that would mean that they would just make a new start date for 2 characters which I don't think paradox would do.
I like the idea still, but it's unlikely they'll do that, eve though I hope they'd suprise me, if the new start date can't be done than they should just make the changes in the current one to add Micheal in 867 playable, amongst other details like adding Micheal's sister and mother.

There are many people who would like to see the 867 start date updated with Micheal III amongst with other things, such as the Middle eastern situation like the second link suggested.
All this need is a little more push for Paradox to make these changes.
