Make it so I don't have to go into Refit to put armor back on my mech

You don't have, unless the mech has suffered internal damage and there is some component you are missing.
Simple loss of armor is repaired automatically.
If you have suffered internal damage but haven't lost a section of the armor you can click repair and the mech is repaired. I think that even the damaged equipment is repaired automatically and maybe substituted if destroyed.
You need to use Refit if a section was destroyed or if you lack the right component.

there seems to be a display bug with armor being listed as still damaged after a mission (in the mechbay overview), when you reassign them to a new mission and the lance deploys on site the armor is fully fixed. to fix the display bug for a mec, go into the bay and remove/reapply armor.
