I think when you select an army, even in the terrain map mode the game should color baronies if they can supply the army or not like this:
  • Green, army is well below the supply limit
  • Yellow, army is close to supply limit but not over it
  • Red, army is over the supply limit.
It would make it alot easier to move armies around without suffer massive amount of losses due to attrition.

Imperator: Rome have a supply mapmode which work something like what I mentioned above but I don't like to have to swap between several map modes, like one to see terrain and one to see supply.

Best game ever, just port everything from it to CK3 :D

Imperator: Rome have alot of good stuff which can be used as inspirations for future games:)
Yes sure, but it is a very different game with very different goals and appeals and even for things like the map it is criticize-able.

About your proposal, I think one can figure attrition risk without having to open a mapmod to choose army path. Plus, if you point a location for your army to go, AI should calculate the best path to avoid attrition (with such calculation implemented for the player, it makes sure that AI can deal with its own armies :p )
Of course such mapmod can exist, but i wouldn't want to have to rely on it at every move during a war since i'd need some other information like terrain, political (for occupation) etc.

With various threads around, we can that despite we got an army dev diary there is still quite some shadow areas we lack details.

i think the current tooltip system is fine.
What current tooltip since we have not seen CK3 tooltip yet from what I can tell. The different paradox games don't use the exact same tooltip/information system.

This is the closest I have found but it don't have a selected army
