Well, basically the title. It would be logical to make Golden Horde a (re)formable country as Byzantium or France. The conditions should be something like:
The reason for this is that at the game start in 1444 all the khanates are very new. As example, different language articles on Wikipedia state Kazan Khanate's founding date as 1438, 1445 and even 1468.
Even more these khanates are better described in CK terms as "Install %claimant% as Khan of Golden Horde" factions. Kazan was actually a power base for Ulugh Muhammad (he is the ruler of Kazan at game start) and he actually was Golden Horde's Khan, got disposed and then tried to take control of Sarai again and install himself as Khan.
It's just seems not very historical when Crimea controls all the steppes but is still called Crimea. If any of the Crimea's khans would achieve that success they wouldn't hesitate calling themselves the true heirs of Jochi (the initial name of Golden Horde is Ulus of Jochi). Actually in real history khans of Crimea liked to remind the Ottomans that they are descendants of Genghiz Khan and not some petty Anatolian bey.
And while I still think that splitting Tatar culture is an ahistorical mess (there is even an obvious mistake of confusing Nogais and Nağaybäk) it would be logical to make GH a cultural union for this group.
- Be of Tatar cultural group
- Control Sarai (and maybe some other provinces, like Crimea and Kazan)
- Dynasty should be Genghizid (historical, since only a Genghizid could be a khan of Golden Horde, although I don't know if it's good gameplay wise, since Crimea's dynasty is Girai, a branch of Genghizids)
