What I think is in a big war. like in the league war or just in an other big great war like with x amount of praticipants, or z amount of battles and y amount of months / years of there being no clear winner of the war, I think that you should be able to make a Famous peace, maybe call it something else. But the idea is like the Peace of Westphalia, or the Treaty of Roskilde, and 1815 Peace of Paris. Make the player able to end a "great war" with a humiliating peace to the loser, where the participants could gain some positive effects for winning the war, and negative effects for losing it (e.g prestige). I believe this would make it more rewarding for players entering a big war and contributing to the victory and making it worse to enter a big war and just stand on the side-line watching your friends die.
By having some way of determining if the war is of any impact or just a "great war" the players should be able to pick a spot in any of the countries in the war, and make a peace just like it currently is and the game will acknowledge the peace as a famous one and give a nice effect to the winning side and a bad effect to the losing side.
