I just realized that I've really spent alot of time playing this game, in spite actually buying it twice, and all the early crashes, and everything else. I was just about to post this as a response to another thread, and I figured there is little enough positive word on the forum so I'm posting this in a separately

There are certainly some things that would make the game better, and I would love to see more quirk and complexity, and the more of the idiosyncrasies that make any game interesting and special. So I'm not saying that I'm content, and I am encouraging the developers to continue to listen to those who post here, and polish the game. Not everyone, some of the criticism is just silly. But there are also good ideas that would be doable and worthwhile.

But I have apparently gotten over whatever reservations I've experienced because I play this goofy thing all the time. I am just about to complete my replay of the original game with the addons and now I will be heading into the new stuff.

Just saying. I like Majesty 2 a lot. Didn't mean to, it just worked out that way. And when this new thing is squared away and lands from Russia I'll probably buy that too.

Most if not all criticism is well founded when we see how Majesty 1 is and Majesty 2 isn´t and should have been.

Anyways, both are wonderful games, if that wasn´t the case, i wouldn´t even care registering on a forum to talk about a computer game... like a nerd:rofl:

Considering the franchise is well alive and it´s prospering, makes good room for fun for time to come. For me, it´s the only RTS worth playing, as it´s idea is really original, fresh, and funny even if it has 10 years, and is free of the micromanagement that annoyed me that much in games like Warcraft, Starcraft, and all the others of the same kind.

Bravo for Majesty.

If you have fun with a game, that means it is a GOOD game, regardless whatever fanatics can consider. This thread is not about criticism on majesty 2 i think, for that, there are plenty of others. This is more to say why we like it. Or it should considered from such perspective seeing how the op started.

Why is that funny? What game doesn't have flaws? Sounds normal to me.

loool, maan, its just about show positive things about Majesty 2, on positive mental grounds. This thread is about that, is not about "you dont have to be critic". Let´s start from one simple thing, why are you here, for example.

The OP said there isn´t enough positive posts about majesty 2 in the forum, i do agree, so well... if there are plenty of majesty 2 players here, there have to be plenty of positive energy about majesty in here. Just to let you know, negative is as useful as positive= criticism is usefull and all that. But, in a post like this one, we need positive, hehe.

It sounds like English may not be your first language so maybe there was some confusion with my first post. I was giving the game praise, saying I liked it and it was worth the purchase. I'm still here posting in this forum because I enjoy it, even after all this time, and am hoping for some more fan made maps. :)

Yes my first language is spanish so if you notice some weirdness is because of that. Im personally looking for more maps; if there would be in the near future a decent base of map creating, i can enjoy this game for years and years, like, for example, one wich i carry a decade playing. Heroes of Might & Magic III. Map making gives it´s truer boost to replayability.

You are absolutely correct. A strong modding community will keep a game around for years, if not decades. I LOVE HOMM 3, and I'm one of the few who really enjoyed HOMM 4 as well. :D

Hopefully now that Steam has been all patched up, we'll have more folks making maps. Try out the new Fortune Seekers map here if you haven't done so already:
