This is directed towards the developers.
One of the things I have found in a recent game is that convoy transport numbers are difficult to keep track of. Basically the information is on the production page but it is not immediately obvious that you are in a good convoy transport number position. This is a major issue for the USA since every new island that you conquor adds another convoy or two if the island has resources.
I have twice now ran into a "convoy crisis" and had to suspend offensive operations while I built up a supply of convoys. The reason is that fundamentally the convoy AI is very good and until the situation gets into a "crisis" state it limps along. I don't want any changes to the game mechanics or anything since I feel that is working as it should. Just to be clear I did build transports (and not in small numbers) but I seriously under-estimated the needs in one case and just the total number of needed convoys erroded my supply faster than I was adding to it.
What I am asking for is a light on the main UI that shows convoy transport status: Green means you have more than enough convoys for your current needs, Yellow means that you have between 80-100% of the needed transports, Red means you are below 80%. The numbers can be fine tuned but something this simple to just indicate that things are starting to go bad so that you can start building transports to stabilize the patient before you need to get out the crash cart.
What I have noticed is that the problem creeps up on you and without really looking at the number of active convoys, the number that are red, the number that are white and the supply stockpiles it often is not clear when you are getting onto thin ice supply transport convoy wise.
Thank you.
