Those of you already familiar with, or developers of, Magna Mundi Rome, we now have some centralized tasks and I'm working with Cheexsta to set up a road map for where we need to go. I know this was the concern of those who signed up for dev work and then it never appeared, but hopefully now, with your help, we can get the ball rolling. While government work is our first task, we'd like to ask you devs to help us compose a central list of tasks we want to achieve for our first release here.

A forum link can be found here. Right now there are tasks for historians and coders. We need historical input on topics involving government, and if your already not part of the crew, come join! If we are are to achieve our goal of historical plausibility, we need input from you history fans, along with a bit of backup to know your not just citing the wikipedia entry you made. ;)

If your not familiar with the project, Magna Mundi Rome is a project to create a historically plausible outcome for EUR:VV with increased depth to every area we can tackle, much like the people we stole our name from, Magna Mundi. You can read the current goal of the project here.

(I suppose this might belong in the mod forum, but seeing how dead this place is I would hope this would get more discussion than otherwise being locked behind requiring registration.)

I'm extremely reluctant to criticise anybody who is attempting to breath new life into EU:R, but I do feel MMR has shot itself in the foot by creating a seperate forum for this mod rather than speaking to Paradox about the possibility of a sub-forum here. Anyone new to the forum - or casual gamers checking in to see what is new - might not even realise a major mod was starting up. With such sparsely populated forums it strikes me as a bit odd to divide the EU:R community into a pretty inactive main forum and a pretty inactive mod forum.

Obviously, now the MMR forum has been started up it would probably be counter-productive to move operations back to these forums but it is crucial that the project is regularly promoted on here. Which is what you're doing, of course!
