Breaking through the maninot line is quite easy, its just about timing. YOu can even do it with your strarting troops!
Before Danzig or war, stack your troops 1 province behind the border. Place your INT and TAC in an airbase nearby. Few days before danzig, move your troops. Attack from 3 sides, best 24 divs - includign your armor if available in the north (dont forget HQ) and 12 in the other provinces behind the river. When Danzig fires, immedeadly assault! Let your tacs interdict and you will soon overhelm the 5-8 divs france has usually there. Use your best leaders and fort busters in the north to make it easier.
It is even possible to attack poland AND break through the maginot line at one time, but guess its getting really hard on hard/very hard.... (duh!)
