Well, you could just encircle them with infantry and bomb them to bits, then attack them.
I think they got 10 months of supply in those forts though.
Anyway, if you got a lot of paratrooper tech and a lot of para divisions, you can drop them on a fort and they should negate the fort bonus at least for themselves IIRC.
Haven't had any problems myself. Usually I just clean the rest of the France up, then take my entire army there and attack from as many directions as possible with my entire army (except a few garrisoned divisions to keep French/English in their forts).
Of course, you can also remove the infantry from one of the encircling provinces and let the dumb AI walk out in it ;)

Colmar

After the fall of Paris, Vichy and then Colmar becomes the French capital. So even if "France" consists of the 3 Mag line provinces, it has 12 IC and can create supply and new units. So they will never run out. Even after 10 months. Good luck.

If you go for total conquest without Vichy in SRW 0520, you might notice that usually Colmar is not very well defended after the Lux-Belgium breakthrough, and easily taken. Then no Capital available for the maginot.

Provoke them to counterattack...and let them a way to leave meanwhile take Colmar or Strassbourg...then encircle them and then crush them.
You can also let them a way to leave Colmar and Strassbourg as they tend to defend the rest of France. When they are weak enough there close the circle and crush them.....sounds easy istn´t it:D
