We are back!
We are back in the office and doing our Magick. It has been a nice vacation, during which we did relaxing activities such as wrestling polar bears, hunting trolls and helping the Polish with their localization. We hope you all had a good vacation as well and that you didn't play too much Magicka, but spent some time in the sun as well.

Golden Joystick Awards
We have been nominated for best RPG in the Golden Joystick Awards. Now, I know most of you don't see Magicka as an RPG, but we are nominated in the category. We have promised to supply you all with a free DLC if we win, so vote away!

PvP video contest
The video contest is still running and you still have a chance to win a Sinn D'signed Magicka Bathrobe complete with bathrobe DLC. The date for the last day to turn in your video has been moved up to the 15th of August, and the winner will be announced in the community update on the 19th.

ESL VERSUS
Magicka has been entered into the ESL VERSUS beta, a system for rankings and competition for PvP. It is an exciting development for Magicka and we hope to see people using the system in the future. You can find more info here: http://www.esl.eu/eu/development/news/165436/

Pirates of the Black cove
Nitro Games recently released their game, Pirates of the Black Cove, and it has so far been received well. We here at Arrowhead love pirate games, and as such we cant help ourselves but have to make a shameless little advertisement for them. Maybe we will see a Magicka/PotBC crossover in the future?

It's a mythical beast that is said will burn with the merest touch. So bright is its heat that it turns nighttime into day when it is out stalking its innocent prey. Some people offer virgins as sacrifice (oiling them up and laying them out on beaches), other people live in the UK where this dreaded beast is unheard of :p

And we _need_ some pirate robes now ^_^ with a parrot.

Well I'm in the UK and this "sun" you talk of seems to be pretty annoying as it burns!!

Ofcourse I go in the sun. I take my wizard for a walk around Aldrheim and I fight other wizards in Havindr Arena... there's always sun there.

Can we get an Undead Wizard Robe! I mean a Wizard that heals himself with Arcane and dies if we surrounds himself in QREW

Please please please please I'll be a good boy and eat my vegetables :)

Also here are a few reasons why an Undead Wizard is necessary:
  • Undead is the coolest Warcraft 3 race
  • Undead is the coolest World of Warcraft race
  • Undead eat brains. Brains are tasty.
  • Death is Undead, and he's a really nice guy.
  • We can play as Undead in L4D. It only makes sense to be able to play as Undead in Magicka.
  • We need more ways to "accidentally" kill your friends ("Hear I'll heal you" - "NO! DON'T! I'M.." - "Oh, you died")
