Strange that receiving bonus items in TF2 for owning another game on Steam is actually a relatively popular feature. Or at least let's say non-controversial.

City Builder fans seem to worship the god - Pokemon, hence where assets are concerned they feel the need to "collect them all".

If they are going to do assets for other Paradox Games as well I'd be happy to throw down 1€ or 2€ for a collection of them. Just Saying if @TotalyMoo and gang is listening.

What if CO/Paradox added trams as a bonus for those players who also own Cities in Motion or Cities in Motion 2? Now that would be unfair! :p
Right, that would be unfair because they are making a utility building exclusive. There is nothing wrong with them making cross-promotional decorations exclusive.

It would probably make more sense to make this building available for everyone in order to promote Magicka. I doubt people are going to get more interested in Magicka because of this exclusive park - but if it suddenly showed up in everyone's game people might get curious about this Magicka thing. Or they might just get angry and call it an ad..I don't know :p

Other than that I have no problems with it. However CO is a very small company, and the game already lacks variety in assets department. They should spend all their resources adding more variety to the base game rather than exclusive parks that only few people will ever see.

Since it hasn't been answered: HOW exactly does this work? Do people get it who own any Magicka game or just the new one? And is it enough to link your steam account to your profile here or how else do I add it to my game in case Magicka 1 is enough for getting it?

That game is free making it more fair. I think people would be more angry if they paid 30€ for the base game like i did for this game.

This is another part of it. But it's also the fact that one of the new buildings designed for the new patch isn't in it even if you pay for the expansion. You have to buy something else and it's just wrong.

I think that having a special park for people owning another game is not a bad idea in itself... but I also think that there should be another way to get it. It's very frustrating to know that you can't have everything available for the game. (yeah actually you can, but why would we buy a game we're not interested in).

Why not make it available for a small price (I mean very very small... it's just one building after all) ? This way we could have our "truly fully complete" game, and you'll get a small amount of money from it.

Again, all this sounds like is "Waaaaaaah! Someone owns something I dont!" You guys act like they are screwing you out of something that provides some vital function in game instead of a piece of decoration.

Seriously wish you entitled babies, I'm sorry, "completionists" people dont keep wasting forum space by constantly making bitch threads everytime they release cross-promotional assets but I know I'm wishing the impossible.

And how does it concern you that some people want to have everything available for a game they like ? If we do so it's obviously that we don't want anything missing, not that some others have it (good for them), just that we can't have it.

"wasting forum space" ?? Do you pay for forum hosting ? You don't make sense.

People are whining because of 1 (ONE!) decorative building that is made as a special gift for people who have another Paradox game?
Paradox & CO gave you a game with mod & asset support. Comparing this with EAs policy and behaviour is ridiculous. Did you notice that they gave out the day/night cycle and more also as an update to the owners of the vanilla CSL and didn't make it a full price DLC only which would have been the EA strategy? CO & Paradox really care for their customers and listen to the community. Seriously, there are theme parks in the workshop. Go get it or go get the Magicka games - and if it's too expensive for you, wait until they land in a Humble Bundle. That'll be a dollar for the park and as a bonus you'll get two really funny games (plus even more).
Really, I enjoyed the first Magicka and I'm pretty sure, I'll buy the new one as well some day.
But even if I don't, I already have so much fun building my cities in Skylines right now that I won't miss that one theme park at all if I'll never get it.

You don't the Magicka theme park to play the game, get over yourselves. Just because someone gets a bonus asset doesn't meat you need it or are entitled to get it.

I think there's a difference between Need/Entitled and Would Like/Would Pay For. Not everyone here is saying the former.
