I just got back from around one hour of playing the magicka 2 snapshot and i felt like something is missing.
Magicka one
Controls that blow you away. Humorous story line with numerous easter eggs. Fun and extremely challenging ( but still possible) The rich, luscious colors somehow make the world a lot more believable than many other games. If you're like me and you bought magicka on launch, I don't blame you for hating magicka. It's the only game I have ever come across that can be described as a 'glorious failure'.
Magicka two (the snapshot)
The art is dead! sounds dramatic but the earlier game had emotion. It had everything this game is missing. A hot-bar for magic? wasn't the whole thing about the Magicka game the simplicity? trying to practice in the lightning strike so you could make the bosses crumble underneath you.
I loved the way they implemented the quirky language. What is it now? its basically full Swedish (not that other then swedes will know the difference) The indie feel is gone. The art is dead.
What do you think so far? I understand its just a snapshot and i will come with a real review when the full game is out and i have more then one hour in the game.
Ps: The website posted my thread before i was done so now the title is spelled wrong and there is a lot of faults in the text. I hope its okey anyway.
