Made a small mistake.. (supply/puppets ?)

So, I am playing Germany and it's approaching 1941. I enforced full annexation on France and conquered Yugoslavia, then I released Croatia and added all the Balkan states to the Axis. So far so good. Italy wasn't doing much, so I figured i'd go conquer Greece before launching Barbarossa to keep the south clear, but now I enforced conquer on Greece, and I have an issue with supply being sent there from southern France which is resulting in continued harassment of my convoys every few days.

How do I fix this? I can't afford to constantly lose this many convoys.

I suppose the easiest fix would be to use a console command to annex Croatia again and create a direct land border? Or could I release Greece as a puppet ? I don't think that's possible since they are a member of the allies and their government is in exile.

You could abandon Greece, let partisans and/or Allied troops liberate it, then put an allied objective for Italy on it and let the Italians deal with it this time.

You could try and create a manual convoy- go into your production screen, find the route and delete it. Then turn off AI control and assign a close port to send supplies. Additionally, you could order a few CLs and DDs to escort the convoy. Don't forget to turn on AI control on convoys again.

Thanks for the advice, but the Meds are pretty much 100% in the Allies control atm, so I think I will go with the first suggestion and leave Greece to fend for it's own (and hopefully have Italy take it)

Use air transports out of Italy to air supply Greece. Depending on the tech level of your large aircraft fuel tanks you can do this directly from Rome. If not you can air bridge with an air transport from Rome to Taranto, then from Taranto to anywhere in Greece. A side benefit is you get to steal supply from Italy while only paying for the supply/fuel used by the transports.

BTW: I usually use two transports from Rome to Taranto to supply the one I base in Taranto.
