This has happened to me twice as SP: +200, or thereabouts, relations with France plus alliance, the Italian Questions fires up, I accept and...Boom! France declares war on me! What gives? A bug? Anyone else have this happen?

Yes, this has happened to me too. It's best to possess most of the italian provinces by the time the italian question triggers, otherwise there's war on all sides. I don't think this is a bug though. THey are the French afterall.

Ah! Yet my relations with them take a 100 point hit if I don't take the plunge. Oh well, I'll soldier on. Maybe throw them one of my French speaking provinces (already gave them Nice).
