Maybe not how you think so. Planes are not a unit you can build like tanks or infantry, they are just a product required by the upper class late in the game.

I think what he is asking is this: If you need machine tools to make machine tools, then how did Britain get that factory in the first place? Kind of like, "If you need dogs to make more dogs, then... where did the dogs to make the dogs come from?"

No, it does not. As a person who has played Victoria for a while in the beta, let me put your doubts to rest: There IS no Machine Parts problem.Originally posted by Chilango2
The Machine Tools problem *does* need to be looked into.. at least for MP.

Depends on type. Some of the most basic (steel, cement, &etc) use one machine part, more advanced manufactories use more (to 5, 10, or even more). OTOH some industrial techs/inventions lower the cost of building manufactories, including their cost in machine parts.Originally posted by Chilango2
Silly me.o
Like I said, if technological developments give you machine parts .. no problem. Btw, Peter, oh honorable and most feared conquerer, how many machine parts does it take to build a factory?

Can you attach an air squadron to an infantry division?

No. The aeroplanes in Victoria are a luxury commodity that the upper class demands in the late game phase. The possible brigades that can be attached to infantry divisions are artillery, engineer, headquarters and guards. For ships you can add other "brigades" (think they're called squadrons or flotilla or equivalent) of torpedo boats, mine sweepers or destroyers.
Aren't there tank brigades?
In the moddable files used by Victoria, they are called barrelsOriginally posted by Fossa
In my game they are called tank brigades![]()
The speed is lowered if you have tank brigadesOriginally posted by Alexander Seil
I think it should be compensated by lowering the division's speed...breakdowns and maintenance stops, etc.
