I am glad England again helped in making one of world injustices right :). Too bad it is always one or two particular countries that need reminding...

Speaking of them, England could start by paying some more indemnites for that war she was responsible for over Taiwan.

I am lenient, 5000 ducats would make Holland forget the whole affair.:D

Spain agrees to this, but takes every nations as witness that it means no military action from venice against Spain, even in case of a next french aggression

I will gladly accept Messina through editing and guarantuee Spains territorial integrity and forgive Spain's blatant aggression regarding our Italian vassal the Pope and admit to a return of normalized diplomatical relations between our two nations. I will however not guarantuee that I will one day visit the Royal Library of Madrid with my army. Its up to Spain to accept this or not. Other nations enforcing trade embargoes against Venice, a free trade champion, should expect similar visits.

If this is accepted the following edits should be done:
Messina from Spain to Venice

Hope this is in accordance with the rules and the spirit of the game.

Weak :D

EVERYONE agrees it was a blatant violation of the international (game) rules: aggression on English isles over some Taiwan TP. TP!!! In fact FORMER TP, because clearly some Asian countries also realised Holland to be an unbelievable greedy aggressor and burned her initial TP, so it was in fact empty island when English settlers came there.

And over THAT as an excuse Holland and France set England decades back in the economical development, with the inflation still over 30% while instead it should have been below 20%, with a navy only fourth or fifth in the world... And EVERYONE realised this, but, except Denmark, couldn't find resources or/and courage to do anything.

Some Dutch evil work, I am sure :D

We already talked about this, but sure, I can repeat it.
While France was just annexing natives and taking territories from other countries, England was building colonies. And this is expensive. And yes, I was aware it was not smart, especially not in America, but someone had to do it. Even if the plan is (was?) to release USA, thus making those investment a total waste of money. But this game was not intended to be a usual powergame, although clearly France, Holland and to some extent Sweden think otherwyse. England is trying to be rich, but also to spend money in not so smart ways, which is the RP I chose to persue.

While France was building her manufactories during the last 20 years with Dutch money, England was building them a century ago with English money.

So the result was 30% inflation 20 years ago. But since governors were finally installed it was time to fight it. As I hoped, one deflation happened. If France and Holland let England at peace, as agreed because she was to be ruled by a sub, in 16 years I believe we agree governors would "produce" at least another 5% deflation, bringing that England in the acceptable below 20% level.

Clear?
Another question=opportunity for more propaganda of the highest quality because it is all true?

What I meant the offer to mean was that Venice agrees to not perform any military actions against Spain, unless conditions changes naturally, EXCEPT for map gathering expeditions to Madrid, with or without Spanish consent or opposition. This only due to the rules not prohibiting this. Waging war only to gain maps seems strange, I totally admit. No editing should be made until we are totally clear on what is being decided. I have no interest in attacking Spain but if it's my easiest option to gain maps I will consider it unless deemed totally gamey or forbidden?

What is wrong with some hard work exploration with edited explorers?

Yes, it is gamey. Either don't claim the relations with Spain are good, or drop any idea of expedition on Madrid. There are other capitals... Come to London, everyone is doing it anyway

hahaha :D what a vivid imagination.

France actually minted most of that cash, I have you know :) And considering I wasted a lot of cash fighting england last session while paying for my huge army I wouldn't call that powergaming :)

well it is rather easy to land in london could be a option for venice, france might support this just to give barns a little more inflation to play with. :)

One thing you have to be careful about: that it's not over some excuse which can lead only to a colonial war, because I know the rules :D   .

so..

EDITS to do, from what I gather:
1 explorer (3/2/2) for venice, 10 years (can someone provide me with a free ID?) [looks like everyone is in favour, or atleast noone seems opposed]
2 Messina from Spain to Venice, ID please
3 Dutch TP in Siberia to Russia, ID please

Well, it looks like again England has to suggest the right thing to do, Holland will never step out and make it herself: as with a TP in Siberia, England suggests Holland to cede Corsica (ID=398) to Venice. And since Venice is Dutch ally (in crime, but still :D), Holland should also add the expenses for missionaries to return the province again to Catholic religion.
