Updated the Edits/deals post, forzaa has accepted the OE-HAB deal.

UPDATE:: I arranged for Frederik to also be there to sub tonight. This way I sure we can run, I right now I am testing a dsl connection that I can possibly use to get online and join the game, remember 19.50 COTN :)

I had long accepted that (and said so to HG.. never noticed he was missing :eek:o )

I can agree to the Knowledge of the Three CoT's that have been mentioned. I can even agree to knowledge of everything West of the Cape. I do not like the idea of knoweldge East of the Cape.

Look at it this way: Felipe II The Mad stole those maps from Lisboa, coppied them in two coppies and had then kept in Madrid and Brussels...

Well, HG has easily been one of my favorite GMs. (Perversly enough, along with Slargos despite his joy at seeing me humbled sometimes). I'm glad he is not dead or MIA still.

I want to see more activity on forums.
I want to see English enemies making DOWs, especially when this is historically required and expected.
I don't want a game easier than against AI :D, like Mach II.

Good Session, Although we need to talk about this colonial 1on1 rule, France, england, holland porto and so on are screwed since spain can rape them on colonial 1on1 left and right without anyone having a change to fight him. I can't see why historical or RP wise/ game wise, england and france can't ally and fight together in NA. I have been allied with england all session but still we can't help eachother nor, move though eachothers provs. I don't understand the 1on1 rule in colonial wars, I know I never agreed on it, I know it isn't in the rules, and that HG had ruled it ingame, but I still think we should discuss it, because it is really hurting the ingame dynamics.

but lets have a good discussion :), since way its to much of an advantage to nations like spain

I lost 19/20 battles with henry leading them, I am 9 qual, low serf, 9 land, 8
off. doc. So I am very pusseled I never seen so weird combats before.

Good session in all!

Editing to do for Venice so far...
+10 WS (5 that should have been in this session)
100 D to Austria
-5 WS to Austria
HG has agreed to this and Forzaa has agreed as Austria.

About colonial wars I can't really tell with the new morale rules but alliances should be allowed I think.

Denmark is smaller, but more effective. The loss of Norway (both by war and deals) maybe will be good for Denmark long term. I prefer a small and more effective Denmark then with norway that just would have caused conflicts with Sweden, and im sure i would have lost Norway when Gustav arraives on the throne anyway. However the colonial Denmark is growing, so is the trade and income has increased with abouy 80 percent this session, from 21 monthly to 38. Denmark will be a colonial power to count on in the future.
im looking forward to 1620 when you are able to colonise Caribean, im sure it wont take long until all of those rich suger island are TPs or colony. :)

I will also remind Slargos of the deal between Sweden and Denmark. Four
Colonies, Huron core provinces to Denmark. :)

Well hopefully Mulli won't be too disappointed with what happenned to Russia this session. Sweden and Poland warred on Russia gaining 3 province's one of them being Ingermanland. Wasn't possible to prevent a quick steam roll over with Sweden's high quality troop's and Poland's leader's. Quite amazing how uber morale is now. I think any land power that ever want's to compete now need's to go offensive and free subject's.

I don't know if I could of done much better, with so many fort's being minimal and any battle's that took place, most of them were lost due to morale. In either case, there was very little aid in coming to Russia especially with Austria non-commital to helping and the OE threatening Russia for Georgia and demanding that I release them from my vassalage.

Inflation is up to 14 now with the that event "peasantry brought into serfdom" plus the war adding some to it. Hopefully Mulli is going to be able to recover from this small setback without too much difficulty.

All the gold province's have at least been colonized. There is a small problem with a certain Polish conquistador traveling into the Siberian corridor. I cancelled the MA with Poland, but neverless he is making his way through the corridor. As for the Dutch, they have a TP on the western edge of Siberia while I was distracted in my war, and because of this, I've begun TPing the whole edge of Siberia to prevent further encrouchment.

Also due to my mistake, I'd like to see Russia's cent moved up one since I did diplo-annex Georgia and was informed that Russia had to wait 100 years before they did. Plus kalmuk needs to be editted back to Georgia.

We tried one-on-one colonial wars in MachII for a single session. It was a complete travesty. Whyever have you introduced it again in MachIII??

As I've posted before,

I think Colonial wars should be confined to a REGIONAL basis. not a strict one on one. Its about getting the war out of Europe, not about a 1v1.

Because it was introduced on a regional basis, as we ended Mach II with, and got misinterpreted along the way as a strict 1v1 affair.

Well, it's not STRICTLY 1:1, because more powers can DOW sepparatelly. However, for some reason beyond my abilities to understand, allies are not allowed to even help each other in colonies...
Nevertheless, you can't say it's 1:1...

Regarding France in colonial war against Spain... Is France using her navy to ship troops from Europe? At least while England was at war this was 100% possible, because again Spanish navies were blockaded...
And will soon be again, if Spain can't see light and agree to WP France.

Sweden had a relatively good session. Income is steadily climbing, though without access to foreign markets, it is still lagging FAR behind those nations capable of reaching them. The most it can do is attempt to consolidate itself on the poorer european cots as best it can while raising trade tech.

Due to being embargoed by Denmark, Sweden declared war on them, which saw 3/4th of Norway eventually annexed. Afterwards, a deal was made with Denmark which suited us both well. Sweden's stab costs are sky high, at 1400, but hopefully, losing the 4 provinces to Denmark, and with conversions coming along, it will go down. Since BB is actually pretty mild. Its those free subjects.

The main war of the session was fought against Russia. With two 344 generals and superior morale, Sweden was able to inflict devastating losses on the Russians while Poland blitzed up from the south. The important province of Ingermanland was captured, (Which we have a core on) and was needed to solidify our control of Estonia.

Some 15 warships were gained via random events, and at least 7-8 manpower from Agricultural revolutions, new land claims, and cantonments. Several times. A foreign officer also helped. Sweden has close to max morale from slider settings. (at 9 off, 10 land, 8 qual, 2 free subjects). So troops are expensive. But they are capable.

All,

I was going to give this some thought over the next few days, primarily because I've got external stresses and such, but reading Barni's post just above Damo's makes it clear that the entire experiment is a failure. I've said it over and over again, and it's as if it hasn't been said at all. Like dealing with children.

Not worth the headaches to try and enforce RP in a game where the circumvention of that enforced RP is the number one priority. Not worth dealing with the rules violations and disputes when the cumulative effect is dealing with the same rules violations and disputes the next day. To be fair, the majority of players have done just fine, but the few who haven't have effectively sucked what was left of my enthusiasm.

I'll hang about to make sure things stay on track (such as it is), but you can find yourselves a new GM. With my blessing.
