The war against swedish vs. german was not the best move, making powerful sweden a enemy is clearly insane.
I been looking at the stats, and even with spain defending mainland france against english invasion I will have a hard time getting control of all europe.
Especially if people are going to break vassalisation from me every 5 years... But to be fair all( if any ) that are vassalised by me in the endgame, Now just a friendly warning. I expect all to act as loyal vassals and do what I say and fight who I say, without holding back. If I find you betraying me ( like forzaa did in mach2) you will have all your forces disbanded, and have the most boring endgame ever.

from an OOC perspective I completely agree (except perhaps for the detail that Sweden took advantage of an unknowing sub in Russia)
BUT, firstly, Sweden started the long-standing conflict between our two nations.
Secondly, Russia was on a much more positive standing, and not standing by them would have probably been even more silly.

interesting interpretation, but given that half my land (colonies), a significant part of my army, and mostly all my fleet was alive at the moment vasalisation was FORCED, while others were already on the march to SAVE me, is hardly betraying.
Now, had my navy and army been constructed by and under the new government, it would have been different.

To avoid possible misunderstandings and problems during the game, perhaps we should now talk about how exactly a vassal "...is expected to act".
I remember very clearly the discussion on the topic. Between other things, disarmament to a certain level was mentioned. I suppose also some control over treasury. Perhaps the best would be the overlord to check how many diplomats his vassal has and order him to use them only to contact with his overlord...
Perhaps a vassal overlord can demmand a vassal to participate in his wars...
But there also has to be some limit. A vassal and his overlord should somehow set this limit so that both will know what will happen in 5 years. If the overlord is not pressing his vassal too much perhaps nothing will change so fast... But if he is demmanding a vassal to attack with the full force his yesterdays allies, the overlord should know first day in the 6th year the vassal is lost.
A loyal GOVERNMENT is something completely different than a loyal POPULACE or ARMY, I'm not marching 700k troops to eastern Siberia just because you say so, however, reasonable orders, that would fit with the mindset of the populace and the army, would be carried out. (for example, I'd think an order of attacking Sweden would be far more likely to be carried out convincingly, than an order to attack Prussia)

If my orders for lets say a attack aint followed, or you keep 200k men hidden in russia, just waiting to break like in mach2, I will dispand your armies and force you send every penny you earn back to france. And I will check the save, just to make sure you are following orders.ForzaA said:
