Was his comment so out of place? I mean it could be applied to CK very well, where you could have a very talented disloyal steward, coming to request huge sums of gold in exchange for his everlasting loyality, year after year after year. And if you didn't pay him and his loyality plummeted all the way to 0% he would just help himself to the national treasury every now and then.
I find it nice that many of these CK "esque" features seem to be in EU:R. The corrupt and inept provincal prefect becoming consul with the money he skimmed from state being mentioned in the dev diaries. In many ways, CK's domestic management has been the most interesting in Paradox game's yet, even if largely event based.
You mentioned that your northern provinces were devasteted by the war, am I right if I assume that the effect of "looting" is more closer to CK (where provinces can have -90% income for years and may get follow up revolts) than the "Oh it got looted/I looted it, who cares" of the EU fame?
Has your Queen married yet? What happens if she dies heirless? Game over? The wealthies or the most popular general gets to the top? Civil war between the most powerful contenders? How old is she now? Can we get screenie of her?

Mmmm, questions.
Oh, it was very nice to see those sneaky Antigonids try to restore their power in Macedon, exploiting the supposedly weak female rule.
