Mac update problem

Hi there,
Just had Mac update , then HOI4 doesn't launch.
Launcher starts as usual, then when I click Play I receive a red triangle and a note "Launching the game failed"
Yesterday I played the game it was ok, I think the new Mac update caused this problem.

I tried playing EU4, and it launched ok with no problem. Only HOI4 has this problem.

Any of the developers can help with this please?

Same problem here, after update to macOS Big Sur the game stop working.
Steam and other games are ok.

I'm hoping they update it to work with the new ARM based branch of the OS. Now even the cheapest, bottom of the barrel Macbook Air could easily crush any of Paradox's GSGs if the benchmarks are to believed.

The news from that thread is disappointing in that respect. Evidently Paradox has not been testing anything for Big Sur either x86 or ARM despite it having been available for developers for about half a year now.

I have the same issue, regardless of how I try to launch the game. Its unfortunate that they haven't sorted this out yet, hopefully they fix it soon.

Been a while since I last posted, but either they fixed it or by just uninstalling and reinstalling it works. But just do that and itll work again
