Mac port questions

So I bought the OS X version of EUIII, and it seems to be a port of In Nomine. A few technical questions:

1. Can I take the save game and load it in a Windows version of EUIII?

2. Following that, could I then take that In Nomine version of the game and play it after upgrading to HTTT?

3. Is there any way to convert a savegame from the OS X version to Vicky 2 (or just Victoria 1 for that matter)?

1. You should be able to.

2. I don't think so.

3. I have been able to do so, but it requires a lot of jiggery-pokery. I can explain how to if you want.

HttT and DW both added new provinces which would make any older savegames incompatible (just as the 3.2 patch made older savegame incompatible since it added a province).

2. Apparently not. An upgrade to HTTT or DW requires you to get your original registration code changed. This seems to make it impossible to re-install IN only. Probably, there is a work around for this, but Virtual Programming will not help you.

I have no idea what you are trying to say here, but you can't change registration codes onj these forums, nor is there any reason to.

There is a game (not forum) registration code. It must be migrated by VP when upgrading past IN. After I did that I attempted to reinstall IN, but it would not play on its own because of the migrated key. At least thats how the helpful folks at VP explained it to me.

In any case, I was just trying to answer question 2. If OP upgrades his copy of IN, he will probably not be able to downgrade in the future.
