Previously I posted a thread about how my brother was having graphical issues while playing Eu4 (Black/flickering 3D models/sprites. He also had similar issues with CK2.
After upgrading to Mountain Lion OSX on his mac, these graphical issues were fixed; Everything looks good now. CK2 runs smoothly and has zero issues now. Eu4 has no more graphical issues, but now has a new issue: Terrible lag.
I think this answers 2 Questions the Mac community has had about the game. The problem is beyond a doubt, Mac Optimization. If CK2 runs and has the same requirements, Eu4 should as well, but doesn't.
So to all those in the Mac community having performance issues (NOT graphics issues): You're only option is to wait till a patch, and the Mac edition is optimized to run the game. (I say this because from what I've heard, CK2 also ran poorly on Mac's when first released, but a patch was released that apparently fixed the lag).
LEGAL DISCLAIMER: This is only my opinion and not an official announcement/professional advice.
