Mac & Ironman mode - save game issue

Hi,

I looked around but couldn't find anything. I started an Ironman game on 2.0 and played one session of it.
I went from count to king of Ireland and saved & quit out of the game.
When I try to reload the save the Kingdom is suddenly a republic and when I load I get the error that you cannot play republics.
I am running all the DLC's except for the Sunset Invasion.

That game does that for me too, it's definitely bad. Do you have any idea how it got like that? Was there a crash, Steam dropped out, anything like that?

No idea, it was one long play of 4 and a half hours. The day after it was like this and I couldn't continue.
Started a new game as Byzantine Emperor and that one seems fine.
