Hi everyone,

Mac user here. Held off on buying CK2 early on because of the numerous complaints about flickering maps and other issues. Searching around the forum and elsewhere hasn't been able to provide a definitive answer, though I've seen at least some posts implying that issues have been resolved. Is that the case? If there are at least some Macs on which CK2 is fully functioning, how can I determine whether mine meets specs?

I've been playing on my 2010 Macbook Pro for a while now, I had problems in earlier versions with freezes or crashes but since 1.07 it's been pretty smooth sailing, which is saying something since this laptop is really underpowered.

Playing on a brand new macbook, I had to quit the game because of severe texture glitches once and the game lags randomly after some time, for example when browsing through provinces. My system is actually quite good, with 2,3 GHz Intel Core I7 and 8GB memory, but my graphics card is quite "bad" (Intel HD Graphics 4000, 385MB). Fun thing is that the game loads faster than on my normal PC (which is quite top-notch).

I'm running it on a 2008 Macbook Pro (albeit on Windows XP under bootcamp) and I haven't had any issues except for flickering borders, so any slowdowns you had are probably Mac-version-specific.

It's probably the graphics card that is killing you. It would load fast from having a good processor and lots of RAM.
