[Mac] Game Crashes on start up

I play this game through Steam. Played the game yesterday, it was running fine. Tried to start it up today and everything looked good until the loading screen said it was "loading flags". POW! Crash city. Uninstalled and tried again a few times with it always crashing in the same place. Downloaded the 1.111 patch and now it crashes after a few seconds of a white screen. Please help! I was just starting to really get into the game!

Play on a 2 yr old Macbook Pro and have never had any problems before this. (Please know that I am not as computer savvy as most people on the forums, I might need more help than you smart guys.) Thanks in advance!!!

What do you mean "Downloaded the 1.111 patch"? When you re-installed 1.111 would have come down from Steam automatically ... ? You didn't try to apply the GamersGate patch over the Steam version, did you?

In any case try a full clean re-install: move any valued save games elsewhere and uninstall the game from within Steam. Then manually delete ALL the CK2 directories from under BOTH the Steam and MyDocuments folders (see the sticky FILE LOCATIONS thread above for exact locations of these two directories). Now re-install the game from Steam, and run the Verify just to make sure it all came down properly.
