Mac Border/Icon Flickering

I purchased off Steam and am updated to v1.05g - Everything runs smoothly, except that the borders, icons (shields etc.), and towns flicker constantly from colored to black. It's very distracting/disheartening and I'd like to know whether there is a fix or not so i can get a refund.

Here are my specs:

OS: OSx 10.6.8
Model: Mac mini
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz
Memory: 8 GB 1067 Mhz DDR3
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 320M
VRAM: 256 MB

As 1.05g was only released, what, 2 days ago, there is no subsequent fix been released yet. I'll place your thread in Bug Reports so that the developers will see your report.

A refund is something you'd have to negotiate with Steam.

The first thing I'd try to do is go into Steam and repair the installation. Are you using any mods?

If you browse through Tech Support and the Mac threads in the main forum, you'll see large numbers of people are having similar issues - myself included, BTW. Borders and ocean areas in particular. No mods, and it's unlikely we all have bad downloads, I'm pretty sure we have an endemic problem.

No mods. i've deleted all local content through steam and re-downloaded - still having the same problem.

I'm pretty sure we have an endemic problem.

This is, as far as I can tell, correct, as I myself am experiencing the same problem, and the Mac user NOT experiencing these issues is the exception, not the norm. I think it's only Mac desktop users who aren't experiencing the same problems, but I could be wrong.

Mine is a desktop, Map Pro 1.1 with the nVidia x1900 card.

I am also experiencing this problem. Has Paradox commented or acknowledged this bug yet? Or commented on if they are working on a fix?

But I thought I would also list it here, because I have exactly the same issue with both of my mac's.

One is a 2008 Macbook Pro running 10.6.8 and has a NVIDIA Geforce 8600M

The other is late 2010 running 10.6.8 and haas NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M and Intel HD Graphics

When can we expect a fix? Or should I be asking for my money back?

Has anyone submitted a ticket with support and heard back from Paradox on this issue?
