As one of the Roman emperors, would it be possible to make it so that you can vassalize the legions of other rulers? Say you start as the SPQR emperor, and you attack Magna Graecia or Naples, both have a legion, could you somehow get them under your control?

Also this

Would it be possible to make it so that rulers of realms with the non-tolerant religion policy get no tyranny points when trying to imprison their courtiers or courtiers in the realm of a different religion? Seems obvious for someone zealous about his religion to not want people of other religions in their realm. :p

I've run some observer games with the most recent SVN, and I think the trade post costs in the Caspian Sea should be corrected. (Aboisso is always dominating the trade here...)

Edit : the distance penalty is not working in this area.

I suppose decisions could be written for each legion, allowing you to vassalize them if they are independent and you are either SPQR or Imperium Romanum.

No idea how to do that, frankly. Something in the law definition, maybe.

Report for SVN build downloaded at ~6:00 PM PST on 8/9/2014

Basically, bounced around the map a bunch using `play and looked for odd inconsistencies in the religion screen and the decisions menu for a few minutes. Hope it's useful, will be playing normally after this and will return if I have anything else to add.

Minor bits:

Following religions able to use 'Take a Concubine' decision but do not use concubines: Alexandros-Ammonite, Manichaean
Following religions unable to use 'Take a Concubine' decision, but do use concubines: Ukpirniq, Bon (with the double dot accent symbol on the o. Can't remember what the code is for that right now.), Rodic, Irminsulic, Waaqi.

Crash:

Sthaviravada crashes at Religions screen due to a blacked out/missing holy site. Mahayana, its heresy, does not do so.

Edit: Mithraic religious festival makes reference to defeating a ' '. Is Mithraic missing a satan-equivalent to put in the blank or...?

We're working on the religions with missing holy sites. There's still several dozen, and we're basically waiting for Numahr to decide where they go.

I'll take a look at the concubine issue. Hopefully the SELIN matrix is up to date in that regard.

2 means that there are more than 1 factor giving a religion access to the feature. It happens when several factors contribute their "1" to a binary feature. I give values of 0.6 in the Typology tab and ask excel to hide decimals to avoid this confusing effect... but Futuregary did not know this cheap trick and introduced some 1 for his new civilizations, thus generating some confusing 2 in the definition tab...
-> no difference, all religions with 1 or 2 get their three concubines.

-> FG: since you have the hand on the Matrix, can you please replace these 1 by 0.6 to avoid confusing readers? The Matrix is already scary enough for the amateurs :D

Otherwise I'll do it when it comes back to me

I think someone (DR? FG?) removed it. c_venezia had a non-existent holder which I just commented out in the past couple of days. (The holder ID was something low numbered, so should probably be restored. Might have been a Shaytana creation, or a vanilla character.)

1501 was the Grand Mayor's ID. I put the rightful king back in Venice.

Once you reform the Ibadi faith to Amir Al-Mu'minini, you can no longer pick the two Sunni schools like you could if you were Ibadi. Reforming in this case, is a step back not forward :p.

edit: This is not a bug but a suggestion, you should make Marabouti a heresy of 'Ilm islamic and change the icon to a red one, since they have the same icon but Marabouti is unreformed (this is to make things less confusing).

edit2: reforming the Druze (Ahl as-Safai - showing up as reformed Abrahamic instead of reformed Islamic) and Marabouti religions switches the CoA of your titles to Christian ones.

edit3: I just noticed, Ghazi Islamic and all Shia heresies (Qarmatian, Sufi, Kharijite) all have a space in front of their names, which I think is a typo.

edit4: I'm dumb, a whole bunch of religions have a space in front of their names. What's up with that? Is that intentional? Once Ibadi and Marabouti become heresies of their respective reformed religions, they also get a space in front of their names.

Concerning Ibadi: Why were they able to choose from Sunni schools to begin with? Is that WAD, guys?

Concerning Marabouti: I'm not sure exactly why, but I think there was a reason Numahr wanted it independent.

Concerning Druze: Hmm. Sort of WAD; technically speaking, both druze and druze_reformed should be Abrahamic, since Druze is more accurately called a form of Abrahamism than Islam (despite strong Islamic influences, it's also very much drawing from Hellenic religions and ancient monotheistic practices; too much so to be rightfully considered "Islamic"). However, this isn't only up to me; what do you think, Numahr?

Concerning spaces in front of names: It is an unfortunate hardcoded side effect from vanilla's reforming mechanics. Whenever an unreformed religion exists as a heresy of a reformed religion (maybe even just whenever an unreformed religion is a heresy), the game adds the prefix "Old " in front of it. Since this is not only obtusely elongating when it comes to names but also a little game-breaking, and as it is there is no way to remove the suffix, I just replaced it with a space (the invisible character doesn't work in-game). Since it adds another space after whatever is listed as the prefix, there are actually two spaces before these religions' names. It's not pretty to look at, but it's the best option we have :(

Concerning Ibadi: Why were they able to choose from Sunni schools to begin with? Is that WAD, guys?

This should be eradicated. Ibadis are their sect, schoool and whatever you want. It does not adhere to Sunni schools, as by definition it is not Sunni (and far from it!)

What are these schools doing anyway? In LI schools have developed into full-fledged variants of Islam through the historical splinter process. They are already represented by autonomous religions. There is no room left for them as "schools" as in Vanilla.

Concerning Marabouti: I'm not sure exactly why, but I think there was a reason Numahr wanted it independent.

Marabouts are specific to a small geography: Western Africa. Maraboutism is a local African form of Islam, mixed with local African practices. So in no way can it be an universal heresy. Same debate as we had on Theomachian being too local, while the heresy mechanic is a universal one.

You introduced this in fact, but I still agree. Now the CoAs should not show crosses and the like, neither typically Western European stuff. Ideally...

Concerning spaces in front of names: It is an unfortunate hardcoded side effect from vanilla's reforming mechanics.

We have stretched Vanilla mechanics so far that we should be happy the backlash is just about a space too much... :eek:o

This is the list of religions that allow consorts I came up with, using just those religions with "1" or "2" in the Consorts column. If the ones with "0" need to be included as well, I'll have to make another pass. Could you check this before I work on the religions file? A spot check should be sufficient.

Oddity and suggestion:

Using v392 in the SvN build, I was playing around with changing Orkney's 4 provinces into Bosnian and slavic pagan. Usually I do this with Iceland, but this time I decided on Orkney (I love to play realms that never have too many wars). Whenever I switch the county of Sudrland into this new setup, it appears as No Character/Wasteland (cannot select it) ... but when its the normal file, it appears as normal! This is weird, so thats why I am reporting it.

But can I add a suggestion? Maybe try not to incorporate too many files with characters like Sudrland's symbol "d" because it makes messing around a bit tougher and could cause issues if someone edits the localization or titles file. Just a suggestion though. :)

Looks OK to me. Quite a lot of concubines that is... Not every thing is dark in LI
