False. If one of the grandparents has black hair and both parents have blond hair, the child CAN have black hair. Happens with gingers most of the times.
Blonde hair is recessive so we would represent that as hh.
So one parent is hh and another parent is hh, the only possible conclusion in offspring is hh unless a mutation occurs.
However if both parents have black hair we can get a blonde haired child.
Heterogeneous(?) Black would be Hh so.
Parent 1 (H) Parent 1 (h)
Parent 2 (H) HH Hh
Parent 2 (h) Hh hh
Chance of a blonde child
Of course this is ridiculous simplified and based on half-remembered Biology classes and I'll get shouted down by somebody who knows what they are talking about

Ignoring all the DNA stuff... Is it possible to get the child into the player's dynasty if we kill the father right after becoming pregnant?
On the note of females... I would like to see wives cheat more in game if they don't like you.
In theory, yes. If the illegitimate father is not alive, it's not possible for him to have a say in who's family the child belongs to.
In game, I dunno. There used to be a problem where if the father died while the mother was still pregnant, the kid was born dead, but I think that bug got squashed a few patches ago...
I have seen it happen quite a few times in CK2+ with women having bastards now I what I was thinking about was using the ruler designer to create an attractive, lustful, lesbian Queen and see what happens then :rofl:.

still, I forgot to state it earlier, but I've had occasions where my wife had an affair (with a cuman in my court no less) and the child was of her dynasty. Since she wasn't a ruler though, I couldn't check if it were possible to legitimize that kid.
I ended up giving that kid and his father a far away county (i'm the ERE and I gave them the counties in the freshly conquered duchy of tunis), though they died of pneumonia some time after (karmic justic in-game :laugh
If a bastards father denouces a child, thier mother can legitimise the child - if they are in the same court.
My son and his wife had a son and a daughter.
My character and that very same wife has 4 bastards. As well as him having two bastards by a countess. Trying to change the succession law back to gavelkind and I need all vassals opinion to be atleast 0 which kinda sucks when he hates me because I was putting it in his wife quite often. Ended up jailing him when he tried to usurp my title and off with his headed.

Wasn't there a movie about Catherine the great who had to take a lover to become pregnant because her husbands parts were screwed up? Then she says the kid is legitimate so there is an heir. Been a long time since I have seen it.

But wouldn't you say "The Sultry Argonian Bard" would serve better in this case?
I have noticed that as a vassal with the attractive trait seemed to trigger a few of these affair events with the king.
