Thought I'd do my first Brandenburg -> Prussia game on hard, but things went very different from what I had envisioned. First, my king died without an heir and due to my alliance/RM's with Bohemia and Austria, I got a Hapsburg on my throne. He was 18 and 4/4/6 so I was happy with that in itself. Then within 4 years of each other the Kings of Bohemia and Austria (in 1472 and 1476) died without heirs leaving me their countries in personal unions (a Germanic Kalmar union, if you will). This happened without me planning any of it and I just couldn't believe my luck. Now it's a 100 years later and my three countries have been Integrated into a truly frightening juggernaut and I know that I would not have been able to do any of that without blind fortune as my ally.

Any similar stories out there?

Yesterday, after making some tea and putting legs on the table, I tried out the Byz game the traditional way for shits and giggles - simply blockading the Bosphorus. Can you imagine, how suprised I got, when it ACTUALLY worked. Now I'm on the way to teh Dominance.

I havnt had that many lucky games in EUIV. However once in the last days of EUIII i decided that i had never played France so i had to correct that mistake. 10 years into the game i got a PU with Lithuania. Ready to sandwich europe i quit due to it being too easy.

In my previous Ironman as Castille

I was busy vassalizing Portugal when my heir died and was replaced by a woman. Then my king died and I had a queen. Iberian wedding popped, giving me a PU over both Aragon and Naples. My ally's (Austria) king died a couple decades after that, giving me a PU over them as well (Burgundian succession fired in that game before that time, so Austria had a string of counties from the North sea to the Adriatic).

Later in that game I also became Emperor. Now I'm sitting at 1750, a bit bored because no one can stop me (I control all of Iberia (minus vassalized Portugal), south France and Italy, plus almost all of the america's with Spanish/Portuguese CN's)

Playing BB>Prussia. PUs over Bohemia, then Muscovy, then Great Britain.
Lao had a bunch of edge of HRE nations take quite a lot of non HRE lands, so when I revoked the Privligia I got quite a lot of land without really trying (I was personally focused on eating the PLC and Scandinavia).
